FAQs

Q Do I need an estimate?
A Yes. A BRS representative will make a pre-move survey of your office space goods to be transported. A pre-move survey is needed to determine the approximate cost of a move. The BRS proposal will detail the scope and specifications of your relocation and the approximate cost.

A BRS is properly covered with the highest levels of general liability and umbrella coverage. Each site management company receives an insurance certificate well in advance of a move.

Q What's the best way to prepare a PC for safe transport?
A All office equipment (PC's, fax machines, etc.) is blanket-wrapped by BRS packers. All peripheral equipment is placed in plastic bags. An inventory is maintained and reconciled upon delivery to assure that location and inventory integrity is maintained.

To pack your computer, we strongly recommend that you
back up your software and data files. Unhook all cables and power cords, indicating their positions for ease in set-up. Pack cords separately with manuals and software.

Remove all ink cartridges from the printer.

Q How much will my move cost?
A Basically, the cost will depend on the goods you will be relocating, the accessorial services required and the egress and ingress conditions present at your sites. Once you receive our proposal, know that it is an all-inclusive price with no hidden or extra charges. When comparison-shopping, please be conscious of the "low balling" tactics other companies will present to you. However, they can never compete with our expert service. Our client list speaks for itself!

Q How does the moving process work?
A

Generally speaking, the following processes are how the moving process works. However, some situations are different:

See business relocation services for more information.

Q Is there anything that I can't have moved?
A Plants and pets, for obvious reasons, cannot be loaded on trucks. There are several items that are considered hazardous materials and cannot be moved with your other belongings. These include aerosols, gas cans, paints, varnish, corrosives, batteries, matches, nail polish and remover, ammunition, explosives, cleaning fluids and detergents.

Q When and where will my possessions be delivered?
A As soon as a truck is loaded, it is dispatched to the new site. Prior to loading, your possessions are labeled with a destination number. You, or someone you have designated, must be present to accept delivery. Every item is placed in the pre-assigned designated location.

Q How will BRS protect my upholstered furniture?
